Drupal: content management software
Using a Content Management System to create a website has its advantages, but there is a learning curve, at least when using Drupal as CMS. So, why use Drupal? Answers:
- It seems that every CMS is not-trivial in it's use, except when using a CMS that offers little functionality
- It seems that Drupal suffers less from several kinds of vulnerabilities than other systems
- Drupal is well maintained, and a wealth of information is available on the WWW
- Drupal is free of charge
I found that I spent to much time to find how to arrange certain things (installing an editor, creating a slideshow, ...) in a new Drupal website, so I made some notations primarily for my own use, but maybe useful for others as well.
